Unending War

A country weeping for her children's
Mangled and bloody bodies
Lost to the explosions
Despite a treaty riddled with lies
And while the victors scream for murder
Killing countless mother's babies
With their massive artillary
Taking numberless lives

Invading territory
They have no right to touch
Massacre of millions
In the name of Christ
And while I sit and watch the horror
Fearing not very much
Someone's facing the head of a gun
As world leaders roll the dice

The winners plunge their mighty flag
Into the velvet-stained soil
Pushing through piles of human rubbish
Grown cold to the sight of genocide
And while he pulls the trigger
And ends another 'life of toil'
A mother's pleading for her baby
Who's for the last time cried

Peace on earth's become a legend
Slaughter is much more fun
And as we're killing for our pleasure
We're forgetting the pain that's done
And while races try vainly to gain freedom
Their right for liberty's been shunned
This War that we have started
Now refusing to be overcome.

...As a footnote, when I say 'in the name of Christ' I'm not insinuating that all the world's problems come from Christians and Christian countries. It was more for the sake of rhyme than anything. Please don't take offense, all countries and religions in turn have been not only the cause of War but also those affected by it. And I'm going to shut up already. xD!
